AT&T has announced the new Palm Centro in its line up of smartphones. Palm Centro is an ultra compact smarthphone that packs of QWERT keyboard with full features. It’s got triple connectivity features – via USB, Bluetooth and IR.

The Palm Centro is also a full featured organizational and productivity device with support for email, IMs and Push-to-Talk service. In addition to this features, the Palm Centro can also be a substitute for portable music players, as AT&T is bringing its Music service into the Centro as well as its XM Radio.

Other details and specifications of the Palm Centro include; 1.3 megapixel camera, 4GB microSD expansion memory, picture and video messaging, Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync compatibility, good mobile messaging, Xpress mail support and push to talk. On the technical side, the Palm Centro touts of 3 hours talk time and 10 days stand by time, PALM OS 5.4.9, Intel 312 MHz CPU, 64MB flash RAM, 2.2” touchscree display with 64k colors. AT&T is releasing the Palm Centro for $99 after discounts and rebate plus service agreement.
