For any victim of a personal injury sustained in a motor vehicle collision, it is crucial to establish the “cause” of the collision in order to establish liability against a driver. While there are very few reported decisions in our Courts commenting on or finding negligence as a result of cell phone use by drivers involved in motor vehicle collisions, the dangers created by cell phone use while driving are aptly demonstrated in the decision in Weston v. Regan [2006] A.J. No. 1049 (Alberta Court of Queen's Bench). In that case, the Plaintiff driver was travelling at 130 kilometres per hour on cruise control and was attempting to locate his cell phone that he had dropped when he failed to observe a vehicle ahead and collided with it. The Plaintiff was found 50% at fault, despite the other driver having the duty to yield the right of way. Proof of cell phone use contributing to a collision is difficult, but evidence (or an admission) that a driver was engaged in a conversation at the time of a collision can assist in establishing liability against such a driver.

A recent report on Driver Distraction (by Douglas J. Beirness, Herb M. Simpson, Anita Pak, entitled “The Road Safety Monitor, Driver Distraction” - The Traffic Injury Research Foundation: Ottawa, March 2002) revealed the following:

1 in 5 drivers regularly use a cell phone while operating a motor vehicle;

The risk of a collision is between 3 - 6.5 times higher when a cell phone is being used and there is a 38 percent higher risk if a cell phone is used while driving (compared to those not using cell phones while driving);

the risk of a collision increases the more often you use a cell phone;

Men are considerably more likely than women to use cell phones while driving, and tend to use it for longer periods of time;

Drivers aged 25 to 29 are most likely to use cell phones while driving, and one third of drivers in this age range report doing so;

Drivers who use cell phones tend to be male, younger, live in urban areas, work in jobs that require driving, have higher educational status, drive more, drink more, and are more likely to drive after drinking and to have received a traffic ticket. These are all considered characteristic of high-risk drivers.

The problem of cell phone use and its contribution to motor vehicle collision causation has become widely recognized in the past few years. A number of countries, including the United Kingdom, Australia and much of Europe have also banned using cell phones while driving. Newfoundland and Labrador passed legislation in 2003 banning the use of cell phones, and under Section 176.1 of the Highway Traffic Act, R.S.N.L. 1990, H-3, it is an offence for drivers to use hand-held cell phones. The use of hands-free cell phones is still permitted in that Province.

Doctors Nova Scotia have stated that they are in favour of lobbying the Nova Scotia Government to introduce legislation to ban all cell phone use while driving. The requested ban would apply to both hand-held and headset types of cell phones. The President of Doctors Nova Scotia, Dr. Don Pugsley, has pointed out that the issue is one of distraction and losing focus whilst driving as a result of cell phone use, and not just having one hand occupied by a phone.

Calls to ban cell phone use while driving has generated controversy, with opponents arguing that such proposed laws interfere with individual rights and the Government or groups like Doc5a5tors Nova Scotia have no right to prohibit cell phone use. The arguments are similar to those that arose when mandatory seat belt or helmet use was first considered and introduced. It can be suggested that requiring individuals who wish to place or receive a call on a cell phone, to simply pull over to the side of the road for the duration of the call is not an unreasonable infringement on human liberty, if it avoids a preventable injury or death.

As we know the gorwth of technology across the world will our need to use more good communication is important. I ga to be honest here. I am a big fan of Nokia as the great mobile phones provider. I always had a Nokia phone and would never buy any brand. I bought this phone because of all assessments, the 8gbs, and the video screen. The camera on this phone is great, because its 5MP, but at the same time, since the lens is on the phone you tend to red eyes and if the person you are taking a photo of more than 10feet away, the picture is dark when in a dark room, even when using the flash. The video on this phone is great.

The volume at the top right side of the phone are a bit hard and you do not feel like you are pressing them sometimes. I want this phone has a keyboard. Frankly that's the only thing this phone is missing. I agree with many people who phone is a better way than the iphone because of its web cababilites. Did I mention the games is insane? Yes, it does have N-Gage, but you can go to another site, such as Mosh and get cool nice simple games. Tetris looks so hot on the screen. The GPS on the phone is fantastic! Something not mentioned a lot with this phone is that you can get AM / FM radio on it as well. Each connection can go into the phone as opposed to the iphone which only allows smaller ear pieces. The phone is super loud I hear them 3 rooms away from her rings. Another big advantage is that the phone has flash player and as usual real player. I have to say that for me the standby time may be slightly longer. I've noticed that my nokia 6682 was longer than the N95 8GB, but I do not mind, because this phone is sexy. The buttons are easy to press when you text messages. But again, I just want the phone had a keyboard that I can have a bluetooth a small but why would I use for carrying something extra in my wallet?

This product is also designed to fully protect the phone at the same time you let the phone looks good, because the transparent.Thats.
The down side is, this case will be a tear of the blue form and the crack will take on the 'growing', even if the case is unchanged.
I've used 2 cases and returned both of them.The very last had a crack on the day I opened it the next day by the crack had grown across the front of the phone.This should be asked to cracking itself business.

SPECIFICATIONS

The Nokia N95 8GB is a quadband GSM phone and as his predecessor, it is capable of high speed 3G and HSDPA connections. In terms of design, there is really not much difference, the Nokia N95 8GB retain the slider form function, except that the slider is slightly improved in the earlier version, and it is relatively heavier although you do not really notice the weight. I've noticed that when I compared with the Nokia N95 8GB specs on the old model. It also has a larger screen of 2.8 inches while maintaining its 5 megapixel camera. I think the major difference lies in the fact that the Nokia N95 8GB now has no expansion slot, only the 8GB memory on board.

BENEFITS:

What I liked most is that the Nokia N95 8GB the slider is less susceptible to a shift as a result of the improved slider mechanism. The buttons on the Nokia N95 8GB has also improved with the keys music more forward, so that a more tactile feel. The most notable improvement, however, lies in the large screen. Photographs and videos are now more clear and sharper compared with the earlier model. The removal of the expansion card slot, for me, is a double-edge sword for the Nokia N95 8GB. The advantage of an onboard memory is that you no longer limited to the size of your memory card. You can now do more with your music and videos without an additional memory card.

Disadvantages:

As I said, removing the onboard memory of the Nokia N95 8GB also has disadvantages. Although you no longer limited to the size of your memory card, you are limited to the memory on board 8GB. Although 8GB is spacious enough for some people, it's still not enough for music and movie fans. Some would like to board memory and removable storage so that they can easily files from one device to another, along with advances in technology today, memory cards now has to 16GB capacity and you may miss that extra storage. Another annoying thing about the Nokia N95 8GB is that every time the phone sliding multimedia mode, changes in the landscape mode, but it does not automatically back and you have to do it by hand.

CONCLUSION:

If you have the original N95, the 8GB version is not really a lot to make you want to upgrade, except of course when it really needed a larger screen and onboard memory. For those of you who are considering between the two Nokia N95, it's always fun to have the additional features and the premium of the Nokia N95 8GB on the old model may be worthwhile.

Why a CABinsteller?
Installing a .CAB file is very easy and keeps your PC clean from useless installed files!
Copy the .CAB file to your PPC/PDA/SP (best is to your Memory-Card) and tap on it to install

In a just-released survey report, ChangeWave takes a close-up look at the features consumers love and hate most about their iPhones and BlackBerrys. This report is a follow-up to a previous ChangeWave Smart Phone survey showing a rapidly evolving two-horse race between the Apple iPhone and the Research in Motion BlackBerry -- with second tier players like Palm and a host of others being pushed to the sidelines.

The previous report showed excellent consumer satisfaction levels for the two top rated smart phone frontrunners -- with Apple sporting a 79% Very Satisfied rating for its iPhone models and RIM grabbing a highly respectable 54% rating for the BlackBerry.

But what is it about these two brands that have consumers so very satisfied?

RIM BlackBerry

The ChangeWave March 2008 survey of 864 smartphone owners found by an overwhelming margin, the feature BlackBerry users like best is its exceptional access to email (56%).

No other feature came close in terms of popularity. As one owner put it, "The email integration of the BlackBerry 8800 is probably its single best feature, but I am constantly amazed at the quality of the phone itself." Another adds "I like the seamless way my BlackBerry works with corporate email and the way you can call a number from within an email by highlighting it."

BlackBerry owners also reported a few key dislikes, number one being the speed and quality of its Internet browsing experience (13%). A second major dislike was the size of the keypad (11%), with owners complaining that the keys are too small and cause too many typing errors.

For example, one respondent states "The overlaid keyboard (two letters per key) and TrueType feature make my BlackBerry slow to type messages without errors."

Apple iPhone

By far the most lauded feature of the Apple iPhone among its owners is the seamless integration of its phone, iPod and Internet browser (36%) capabilities. As one iPhone owner puts it, "The feature I use most is the iPod, but it's the integrated whole that makes it so much fun to use."

Another reports, "I love the iPhone. It is revolutionary. I love being able to jump on the Internet, send email, get maps, weather forecasts, instant message, and make phone calls."

The second most popular feature is the iPhone's touch screen interface, followed by its ease of use.

In terms of dislikes, there is no doubt about what iPhone owners hate most. It's the speed of the AT&T EDGE network. No surprise then that the number two criticism is the requirement to use AT&T. Users also expressed unhappiness with the iPhone's lack of copy & paste functionality.

"According to our survey, both Apple and RIM are in the process of overwhelming the competition," said Tobin Smith, founder of ChangeWave and editor of ChangeWave Investing. "Each has a super-loyal cadre of users that fervently support their brand, and each has extraordinary room to grow."

Smith also points out that previous ChangeWave surveys have picked up a seismic shift occurring among U.S. consumers towards the high end smart phone market. "In simplest terms, that's where the momentum lies," he said.

While the iPhone boasts some of the highest satisfaction ratings ever seen in a ChangeWave survey, the bottom line for BlackBerry owners continues to be -- if it ain't broke, don't fix it. RIM's enormous strength in ChangeWave business user surveys (73% market penetration) strongly suggests they'll maintain momentum in their core market going forward.

For all the iPhone's momentum, there are still some core issues owners want to have resolved -- and first among them is 3G capability. According to the survey, that's the number one feature iPhone owners want integrated into the next generation of the iPhone (19%) -- even more so than third-party software (18%), GPS functionality (15%) or email integration (10%).

The same holds true among respondents who say they are interested in, but haven't yet purchased an iPhone. One-in-four say they are holding out to wait for the next generation iPhone (14%) or for 3G network compatibility (11%).

"The bottom line in this horse race is Apple and Research In Motion are both giant winners, while the rest of the smart phone manufacturers lose," added Smith.

The change represents a fundamental disruption to how software gets distributed and consumed, says Paul McNamara, chief executive of small PaaS vendor Coghead. The trend marks "a significant watershed event," he said.
Nearly everything is finding a home on the Internet, and software development is no different.

PaaS can be applied to any market, by any company, according to William Blair & Co. analyst Laura Lederman.

"The emergence of the PaaS offering also represents something more fundamental: a challenge to the way applications are developed and to the vendors that currently dominate software platforms," Lederman wrote in a recent report.

One such dominant software platform is Microsoft's MSFT Windows.

How much of a threat PaaS might be for Microsoft or others is still unclear, but a number of companies are jumping into the fray.

Salesforce.com CRM provides a PaaS, called Force.com.

Force.com is an online hub that customers and partners use to build business software. For example, Electronic Arts ERTS used Force.com to create 14 new applications for managing global recruiting and purchasing.

Other tech vendors have similar types of development platforms. For instance, many view Facebook as a development platform for social networking, while Amazon.com AMZN is a platform for Web sites and e-commerce. Apple AAPL has opened its iPod and iPhone to outside developers.

The PaaS trend is especially hot in business software. A host of small, privately held companies have Web-based development platforms, in addition to their own software that they license to users. These companies include Archer Technologies, Bungee Labs, LongJump and Coghead, whose investors include No. 1 business software maker SAP SAP.

By offering software platforms, these Web-based firms can grow "far beyond the scope of the current application they offer," Lederman wrote.

For instance, Archer makes software to manage corporate risk and compliance. It recently launched a PaaS that lets outsiders write and share new applications on its SmartSuite development framework. So far, 60 new applications have been built for the exchange, says Archer Technologies CEO Jon Darbyshire.

"People use the framework to build so many things that it's the hottest part of our company right now," he said.

Clients pay an annual license fee of $8,000 for unlimited access to SmartSuite and all other applications on the Archer exchange.

Even nontechies can build applications with SmartSuite, he insists. The platform lets users compile software functions by simply dragging and dropping software modules they want to use.

"This approach is taking off because it puts control back in the hands of business people, so they don't have to wait around for software developers," Darbyshire said. "Our view is that this is going to be very disruptive to the market because it forces traditional software companies to rethink their delivery model."

Coghead runs its entire business and development platform on computer systems hosted by Amazon. This is an example of a parallel trend known as cloud computing, in which applications are hosted on external servers. Users access the software via the Web.

"Our platform allows you to do away with managing networks, security, databases and computer infrastructure," said Coghead's McNamara. "All that is really complicated."

PageMaster is a Windows application that sends text messages to cellphones, alphanumeric pagers, numeric pagers, and any other devices capable of receiving text and SMS messages.
PageMaster is designed to fulfill different roles depending on your requirements. In its most basic mode, PageMaster can operate as a stand-alone text messaging terminal. A database of devices (i.e. Pager, Cellphone, Blackberry) is created, and messages are set to those devices using PageMaster's internal Text Messaging Engine.

However, PageMaster also offers several configurations for multi-user or Enterprise use.

Starting from its basic mode, PageMaster can be installed on multiple computers, each containing its own database of devices, or the database may be centrally located on a network share and provide a common device list. Each computer can then send text messages through its own internal Text Messaging Engine.

With the use of Omnitrend's PageMaster/sv Text Messaging Server, each PageMaster installation can be configured to transmit page requests to a central point. The PageMaster/sv server will then orchestrate the transmission of messages from its Text Messaging Engine. PageMaster/sv will batch messages for service providers and transmit them in the most efficient manner for optimum throughput. The PageMaster client can be employed on machines that do not have an email client (i.e. Outlook) installed and connected to Exchange Server. PageMaster routes its messages to PageMaster/ex through a DCOM interface, external to mail handling, so a mail client is unnecessary. The device list is read directly from Active Directory, so no separate device database need be maintained for PageMaster clients.
The PageMaster client can provide backup paging capability in the event of an Exchange or network outage. Automatic fallback from a primary PageMaster/ex connection will reroute messaging first to any stand-alone PageMaster/sv servers, then ultimately to the client's own internal Text Messaging Engine.
The PageMaster client provides additional messaging options not available when messaging through a mail clients. This includes pre-define (or "canned") messages that can be sent quickly using a hotkey combination, scheduled and automatically recurring messages, and many formatting options for message content.

These client-server architectures are scalable and can process the needs of small organizations requiring only a modest messaging volume, up to an entire Enterprise processing tens of thousands of messages per day. No matter which mode is utilized, PageMaster supports all standardized text messaging protocols, including TAP, SNPP, WCTP, SMPP, SMTP, and DTMF. The PageMaster client can also provide an avenue through which another application (such as Visual Basic or Microsoft Access) may send text messages. These include:

DDE Support

PageMaster allows you to type in frequently used messages and save them under keywords. These messages may then be used without the need for retyping each time the message needs to be sent.

These scheduled messages may also be set to automatically regenerate at a daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly basis. Okay, first, a word of caution: we've heard some conflicting reports that the K850 may have been canceled from AT&T's roadmap because it missed its "launch window." That being said, this poster -- spotted in an actual retail location, not deep in an AT&T workshop somewhere -- sure makes us believe it's still very much in the works. Come on, guys, you're not going to let Rogers show you up, are you?

Also, what's this business about "video phone" and "video calls"? Sounds an awful lot like honest-to-goodness two-way video instead of that whole Video Share thing, doesn't it?

Yep, we're mandating that this one be filed in the rumor folder for now, but according to a report from ThinkPanmure, AT&T Mobility is planning to move up to 7 million femtocells acquired from UK-based ip.access. As the story goes, AT&T inked a contract with the aforesaid firm for up to half a billion dollars in femtocells over five years, and it's supposedly aiming to sell each to end users for "as little as $100." As expected, spokespeople for AT&T and ip.access weren't around / didn't care to comment on the matter, but a dame from the former did admit that it was "examining the potential benefits of femtocells through lab tests and planned to conduct a trial later this year." Of course, AT&T wouldn't be the first US carrier to offer the boxes, but it's not like Sprint's $49.99 Airave set any sales records or anything when it launched late last year.

Anyway bluetooth devices will normally operate at 2.4 GHZ in the license free, globally available ISM radio band. The advantage to this band includes worldwide availability and compatibility. A disadvantage to this however, is that the devices must share this
band with other RF emitters. This includes automobile security systems, other wireless devices, and other noise sources, such as microwaves.

To overcome this challenge, Bluetooth employs a fast frequency hopping scheme and therefore uses shorter packets than other standards within the ISM band. This scheme helps to make Bluetooth communication more robust and more secure.

Frequency hopping
Frequency hopping is basically jumping from frequency to frequency within the ISM radio band. After a bluetooth device sends or receives a packet, it and the device (or devices) it's communicating with hop to another frequency before the next packet is sent. This scheme offers three advantages :
1. Allows Bluetooth devices to use the entirety of the available ISM band, while never transmitting from a fixed frequency for more than a short period of time. This helps insure that Bluetooth conforms to the ISM restrictions on the transmission quantity per frequency.
2. Ensures that any interference won't last long. Any packet that doesn't arrive safely to its destination can be resent to the next frequency.
3. Provides a base level of security as it's very hard for an eavesdropping device to predict which frequency the Bluetooth devices will use next.

The connected devices however, must agree upon the frequency they will use next. The specification in Bluetooth ensures this in two ways. First, it defines a master and slave type relationship between bluetooth devices. Next, it specifies an algorithm that uses device specific information when calculating the frequency hop sequences.

A Bluetooth device that operates in master mode can communicate with up to seven devices that are set in slave mode. To each of the slaves, the master Bluetooth device will send its own unique address and the value of its own internal clock. The information sent is then used to calculate the frequency hop sequences.

Nokia N82, Funky Mobile For Me and You!

I suppose it is only a matter of time before Nokia Mobile Phones releases the N82, given the fact that as far as technical specification goes, the N82 is almost a clone of the N95, minus the sliding mechanism.

The software (and possibly hardware) for the N82 has improved, in terms of responsiveness and speed over the 2006-2007 N series models. The screen of the N82, although not the sharpest among the N-series, serves well as a view finder and as a small display for internet surfing. The display rotates according to the orientation of the screen, but if you find this feature disruptive (say if you're lying down while typing), you can always turn the feature off.

In general, the N82's responses are faster than that of the N95, probably due to the fact that it has a simpler electronic architecture (mono-block and smaller screen). There is very little delay when you switch the camera on and off, and the capture time is very short compared to most of the N-series in the market.

The music player built into the Nokia N82 is identical to that of the N95, but due to the above advantage, the player never seem to experience any hang-ups when it's used with other applications running in the background.

The built-in GPS feature is a bit of a headache to use due to the smaller screen, and possibly even smaller GPS receiver. I've never needed the voice guidance feature for my GPS receiver before, so not having it is fine with me. To me, the GPS feature has always been more of a gimmick for Nokia to push their N-series devices to the consumer rather than benefiting them in anyway. Because unless you can run faster than Carl Lewis, the GPS locator will not display any movements on the phone screen at all so it won't be able to tell you if you're walking in the wrong direction until you've travelled a few hundred meters down the wrong way.

The built-in digital camera comes with Carl-Zeiss optics at 5 magepixel like the N95, with added Auto Focus assist lamp (a super bright red LED) and a bright Xenon flash. The photos, although do not appear to be much larger (in byte size that is) than the N95's, seems to have less heavy compression artifacts and the flash distribution seems to be well balanced for subjects and objects over 1.5 meters away.

This device is a must have (if you can get over the overly titanium-silver look of the device) for anyone who hates sliding Mobile Phones but can't live without all the crazy features that comes with the N95 and the N95-8G. The 3.5mm multifunction socket works the same way as the N95, giving you video output, audio output and headset functions as well. I'm not sure at this point just how powerful the supplied battery is, but the phone definately seems to be beating the N95 when it comes to power consumption.. the N95 loses half of it's battery charge halfway through the day, while the N82 appears to be able to stay at full bar 12 hours after its initial charging. Impressive.

Me and maybe all of you have interested in these services, as i enjoy hosting live talk shows online. So far, i have success using a commercial service. And all things is i have doin at home. Softick updates Audio Gateway for Palm

Softick has announced the release of version 1.20 of their Auido Gateway software for Palm handhelds, reports PalmInfocenter.

The software allows any Bluetooth-enabled Palm OS device to link up to a pair of Bluetooth headphones and listen to any audio played by the handset, from music players to games to audio books. Version 1.20 adds support for AVRCP connections and fast forward and rewind buttons on some headsets, and fixes some problems with mono sound as well as other minor bug fixes.

The update is free for all registered users.

Release New Firmware On iPhone

PDAStreet has discovered that Apple has released version 1.1.4 of the firmware for the iPhone and iPod Touch, and even better, the phones stay jailbroken after the update.

The update weighs in at a hefty 162 MB, but is supposed to be comprised mostly of bug fixes. Users have reported that some bugs related to SMS, Bluetooth, and email were indeed repaired, but a full list of fixes is unavailable. Also of note, while the phones remain jailbroken, unlocked phone were reverted to their original locked state, so be careful.

Amphibi Software on Palm and iPhone

I have really suprised to read this news from some of online magazines. Yes, a company named StyleTap has a demo of Palm applications being run on an iPod Touch, reports PDAStreet.

The company has long offered software to run Palm apps on Windows Mobile devices, and has plans to offer the same functionality for Symbian phones. Now a video has appeared on their website showing off some Palm apps being run on an iPod Touch. The demo is just that, a demo, and is not indicative of any plans to release the software, as they explicitly warn:

This is an EXPERIMENTAL version – it is NOT a product, nor is its presence here a commitment of any kind, express or implied, that StyleTap Inc. will ever release an official version of StyleTap CrossPlatform for Apple iPhone or iPod Touch.

Still, there is a definite possibility of seeing something like this if Apple ever gets around to releasing the iPhone SDK.

Google to release gPhone?

It’s long been assumed that Google would not be releasing their own phone using the Android platform, but PDAStreet has found evidence to the contrary.

An anonymous source told PBS commentator Robert X. Cringley that Google would be releasing two branded phones: a high-end smartphone and a more traditional mobile phone, both running on the Linux-based Android. According to Cringley’s source, the smartphone will look similar to a BlackBerry, bet featuring a flip-up screen that hides a keyboard. Wi-Fi will be included on both phones, and Google is in talks with Version and T-Mobile about carrying the phones, which Samsung will be building. The smartphone is scheduled for the fourth quarter of this year at an unnamed price, and the mobile phone will hit in 2009 for something less than $100.

Google promised, when Android was first announced, that they would not be releasing a branded phone, so this remains very firmly in the rumor category. Still, it is a very interesting rumor, if true.

Step by Step to Unbrand My Nokia 5300

Hi, As you can see as the title of my post at this time. Now we want to share and talk about how to unbrand Nokia 5300. Anyway, be carefully to read step by step of my tutorial. And i have test this in my nokia 5300 and Works! And by this one please do all things as your own risk.

Installed the nokia suite software that came with my phone.

Connected my phone. Good clean connection and complete driver install

Installed the nss software. (latest version downloaded)

RESTART

Connect phone to usb and select nokia mode

Open nss software click on magnifying glass in top right. (I too had ->Products Dir('products').......Not Found.) Dont worry

Click phone info and scan your phone just to make sure its connected, Cool choose
local power mode and click change. your screen should go dark

To the right click read to bring up your product data.

Change that 4 to a 3 in the product code check enable box then click on write.

YOUR NOT DONE YET.

You must reset the phone in NSS software. Click on tools tab then factory settings tab.

Check the full factory circle and click reset.

BINGO

Bring your phone back to normal power mode.

Power down then back up.

The ccWAP Browser is a web-server, emulating a WAP-capable device. It converts WML documents to HTML and serves them to web-browsers. So it is possible for anyone to get a feeling of the WAP-World.

ccWAP Browser is mostly compatible to the proposed standard WML 1.3. The supported features include:

Full support for the character encodings Unicode UTF-8 and ISO-8859-1, and the character encoding declarations of WML-decks are evaluated.
Many other encodings, such as ISO-8859-*, Windows-125[0-8], KOI8-R, GB2312, BIG5, SHIFT_JIS, EUC-JP, KSC5601 and EUC-KR are supported also, but transcoding UTF-8 to them in URLs may fail.
It depends on the web-browser whether all characters of a document are actually displayed or not.
All HTML pages delivered to the web-browser will be declared as UTF-8 and all relevant characters will be correctly escaped, that is, no character outside the US-ASCII range will ever be transmitted. This way, a non-UTF-8 capable browser will not display garbage, instead it will mark the corresponding characters, e.g. with a '?'.
ccWAP Browser can handle WML in text and tokenized (binary) form.
The Basic authentication scheme is available.
The request methods GET and POST are completely supported.
WML-timers are evaluated. The ontimer event also appears as a navigation element.
This feature can be disabled on startup of the ccWAP Browser.
The events onenterforward and onenterbackward are evaluated.
These events are presented as navigation elements when they are disabled but present in a card.
WBMP-Images (image/vnd .wap.wbmp) are converted on-the-fly to PNG (image/png) or to XBM (image/x-xbitmap), depending on the web-browser in use.
